MY-CATS stands for ‘Minimising Young Children’s Anxiety Through Schools’.
The aim of the MY-CATS research project was to test out a new way of identifying and supporting young children who might benefit from help to build confidence and reduce problems with anxiety, now and in the future. The project involved working with primary schools across Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
We tested an online and telephone support programme for parents of children (aged 4-7) identified as at-risk for anxiety problems through screening in schools.
