SupporTing pARents and their autistic Children through Anxiety Treatment (STAR-CAT) is a research project funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).

In the STAR-CAT study we are testing whether OSI-A can make treatment for anxiety problems among autistic children more accessible without compromising children’s outcomes. Families of autistic children aged 5-12 years old referred for treatment for anxiety problems will be allocated to receive an online program for parents (OSI-A) to help them to help their children or usual treatment in child mental health services.
The STAR-CAT study is taking place at the University of Oxford, across the departments of Experimental Psychology, Psychiatry and the Primary Health Care Clinical Trials Unit.
