SupporTing pARents and their autistic Children through Anxiety Treatment (STAR-CAT) is a research project funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR).
The project will test whether an adapted version of OSI, called OSI-A, can make treatment for anxiety problems among autistic children more accessible without compromising children’s outcomes. Families of autistic children aged 5-12 years old referred for treatment for anxiety problems will be allocated to receive an online program for parents (OSI-A) to help them to help their children or usual treatment in child mental health services.
We are currently in the set up stage of the project, with recruitment due to begin in January 2025. If you are a UK clinical service interested in taking part, please download the feasibility form below and send it to the research team: starcat@psy.ox.ac.uk.
