Following the success of the Co-CAT study, we worked to co-design an adapted version of OSI (called OSI-A) to meet the needs of autistic children and their families. In the STAR-CAT study we are testing whether OSI-A can make treatment for anxiety problems among autistic (or likely autistic) children more accessible without compromising children’s outcomes. Families of autistic children aged 5-12 years old referred for treatment for anxiety problems will be allocated to receive an online program for parents (OSI-A) to help them to help their children or usual treatment in child mental health services.

Recruitment for the project commenced in May 2025. If you are a UK clinical service interested in taking part, please download the feasibility form below and send it to the research team: starcat@psy.ox.ac.uk.
